In 2005 after being a part of the Stockport Council, Pure Innovations Ltd was established as a charity. We currently work across 9 of the 10 boroughs within Great Manchester Are aim is based around supporting people to have a fulfilled life, with a sense of purpose and belonging. We support people to live independent, healthy and valued life's within their local communities
Independent Travel Training Person Centred developmental programme Funded via individual local authorities Enables individuals to travel both independently and safely A scheme which does not underestimate the potential of young people with disabilities Empowers young people to engage with the wider community. (Education, employment, social opportunities) Currently 6 ITT programmes across the 10 Greater Manchester Local Authorities
Supported Internships Employment focused education programme Funded via the Department of Education Opportunities to develop employability skills in a real work place, surrounded by other working people. A scheme which does not underestimate the potential of young people with disabilities Opportunities for young people to find their niche and make a valuable contribution to an organisation Currently 11 Supported Internships across 6 of the 10 Greater Manchester Local Authorities
SMBC Supported Employment Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council (SMBC) have funded Pure Innovations to deliver supported employment within Stockport. Referral is via a social worker for clients with mental health or a learning disability. Outcome 47 people into sustainable paid employment
Pure Support (Day Service) We have a Pure Support provision within Stockport as well as Rochdale and Oldham. In Stockport we have approximately 200 clients accessing projects within the local community whilst Rochdale and Oldham has approximately 70 clients
Projects we offer Art and Animation – we now have 3 separate art studios across Stockport and a Gallery for clients and the community to display work Park Projects maintaining greenspace within local communities as well as a new grow project working in polytunnels Sports project working alongside a local leisure centre to provide 4 days worth of sport activities Radio project whereby clients produce content for their own podcasts as well as weekly 1 hour slot on a local radio station in Stockport A building based service accessed by approximately 30 clients a day due to their support need 5 commercial cafes as well as 2 community cafes in local churches
Café in Cheshire Pure have over 10 years experiences running commercial cafes We plan to open a commercial café within Cheshire East. Macclesfield or a park would be Pure’s preferred option The café would have opportunities for 4/5 clients per day to learn and develop new skills The risks we face is the start up costs and rental of premises alongside the current client referral method in Cheshire East
