Now for all the little bits that you are wondering about Edmentum ( ed~men~tum ) is the online platform that we use for our Credit Recovery ★ Program. The courses in Edmentum have been “built” based on our District’s Curriculum ★ Frameworks, so the content that you learn (or re-learn) is the same content that you received in the original class. All work can be done on a Chromebook (or any other computer and some other electronic ★ devices), where the student has access to internet/WiFi. There are no “Sessions” this year. Deadlines are based on when payments are made. ★ Once you register - ★ Both student and parent/guardian with receive emails with individual deadlines, my ○ Google Classroom codes (yes, plural. More info on that shortly), and any other information and updates as needed. Some information will go to both student and parent/guardian, and some just to one or the other, depending on the information. All predetermined student accommodations and modifications will be provided. ★
Little bits cont’d There is a “Final” at the end of the course. As well as Pretests, Quizzes and Post-tests You ★ are able to retake all of these, to help ensure that you know and understand the content. Notes can be used on these tests (with the exception of the Pretests). I have two Google Classrooms. The “Online Learning Lab” classroom is where I will post ★ the Orientation, Testing Windows, and any other directions, information and tips that will help students be successful. The “Testing” classroom is where I will watch students while they take tests remotely. All Assessments, Pretests and Finals are locked. ★ You must contact Mrs. Jones to have them unlocked. ○ Assessments, Pretests and Finals will only be unlocked at the start of a Testing Window ○ and when the student is in the Testing Google Classroom. As I said earlier, I will be watching while students take certain tests. This does not mean ■ that I can see your face. I will only be watching your screen.
