Timeline & Process • May 2018 — Board workshop to discuss process and review timeline • July and August 2018 — Individual meetings with Board members to seek general input • Sept. 21 — Oct. 12, 2018 - Electronic questionnaire • October 16, 2018 — 1st Board Workshop with demographic modeling • November 12, 2018 — 2nd Board Workshop with tweaks to demographic models • December 10, 2018 — 3 rd Board Workshop to refine/narrow models • December 17, 2018 – Share district recommendations & recap of Dec. 10 workshop • January 10, 2019 — Present new boundary realignment models at Community Forum at CHS9 Auditorium – 6:30 p.m. • January 16, 2019 – Facebook Live – 6:30 p.m. • January 22, 2019 – 4 th Board Workshop to discuss community input & finalize models • February 12, 2019 – 5 th Board Workshop • February 25, 2019 – Board considers and adopts final proposal • March through May 2019 — Inform parents of changes. Revise bus routes to accommodate boundary changes; welcome activities at campuses.

Grandfathering Current (2018-19) fourth and seventh graders will be allowed to finish their fifth grade and eighth grade years, respectively, at their current school for the 2019-2020 school year if they choose. Siblings of these students also would be allowed to remain at the current campus for one year only. Transfer forms must be completed for “grandfathered” students and siblings.
Student Transfer Request Students who reside in the Coppell ISD boundaries and are currently enrolled in a Coppell ISD school and would like to request a transfer to another Coppell ISD school must complete a transfer request form annually. All students attending their current school on a transfer must complete a transfer request form to remain at the transfer school for the 2019-2020 school year. As a condition of every approved transfer is the requirement that the student maintain prompt and regular attendance (90%), good behavior, passing grades in all areas and space availability at the receiving campus.
