The Rapid Bridge Replacem ent Project • Board Action: Approved September 2013 • Procurem ent Status: – In February 2014, five teams submitted statements of qualification – 3 or 4 teams will be shortlisted in mid-March for the RFP – PennDOT expects to select preferred proposal fall 2014 – Construction expected to begin in summer 2015. • Benefit to the Com m onw ealth: Replacement of 550-650 structurally deficient bridges. www.P3forPA.com 3

W ireless Telecom Partnership • Board Action: Approved September 2013 • Procurem ent Status: A RFQ will be advertised in spring 2014 • Benefit to the Com m onw ealth: Receive revenue from telecom companies leasing space on existing PennDOT assets while also improving wireless coverage for emergency response and PennDOT operations including Intelligent Transportations Systems (ITS) network. www.P3forPA.com 7
