  2. David Kovacs Associate Director - Content Strategy David joined RIESTER in 2013 after more than 14 years leading digital communication strategy on the agency and client side. As head of RIESTER’s Digital Content Strategy team, David helps our clients achieve attributable sales growth through digital content marketing, targeted email programs, and social media marketing. At RIESTER, David works with Talking Stick Resort, Casino Arizona, Aramark Parks & Destinations, HERDEZ, La Victoria and the Arizona Department of Health Services’ Bureau of Tobacco & Chronic Disease. Prior to joining RIESTER, David’s digital strategy work included such clients as; US Airways Center, Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Coyotes, Nashville Predators, Rhino Staging (US Airways Center, Pepsi Center), Southwest Gas, Pulte Homes, and First Solar. David’s career work also included more than 10 years in the restaurant and hospitality industry with the Hillstone Restaurant Group. David holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from Arizona State University.

  3. Paul Vogel Executive Director – Strategic Communications pvogel@riester.com | 503-805-5139 PROFILE Paul Vogel joined RIESTER in 2015 as Executive Director – Strategic Communications. Previously, Paul served for eight years as Vice President, Communication and Public Affairs for PacifiCorp, leading strategic internal and external communication for all areas of the company’s relationships with key stakeholders: customers, media, employees, as well as business, government and community leaders. Due to the convergence of Paul’s Public Affairs and Energy background with RIESTER’s client base in Utah, Paul is essentially assigned to and works as an integrated member of RIESTER’s Park City team. PacifiCorp originally was Paul’s client when he owned Vogel Communications in Portland, with clients from Fairbanks to Washington D.C. Emphasizing strategic communication, he focused on the energy sector, special circumstance and litigation PR, and local and regional election priorities that established new infrastructure, special districts, municipalities or helped sustain existing ones. Prior to establishing his firm, Paul was Sr. Vice President at Gard Communications, a full-service advertising and public relations firm, where he managed agency public affairs, public relations, elections and account services. He also was Executive Director of the Oregon International Port of Coos Bay and worked in the offices of U.S. Senator Mark O. Hatfield and U.S. Representative Bob Smith. Relevant to NWGA, Paul is a former consultant to Northwest Natural, and recently added new gas appliances during a home remodel that he simply couldn’t put off any longer. A native of Arizona, Paul graduated with a Political Science degree from Lewis & Clark College and never left the Northwest. COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT Paul is a past Chairman and current member of the Board of Directors for First Growth Children and Family Charities Inc./Classic Wines Auction, Inc., which has raised more than $39 million for five nonprofit organizations serving children and families in Oregon and SW Washington. Other Board positions: OregoniansGive, Metropolitan Family Service, Portland Business Alliance and Business Alliance Charitable Trust, the Oregon Sports Authority, Clackamas Tourism Council; Appointed by Governor to Oregon Offshore Resources Task Force and Oregon Construction Contractors’ Board. Volunteer/In-Kind: End of the Oregon Trail Foundation, Enterprise Foundation NW, One Economy Corp., Oregon Public Broadcasting, Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, Equity Foundation, Children’s Miracle Network, and served on two Oregon Executive Boards and Commissions.
