Club, Athletics, and Activities Fund Allocation – Club Levels Level one: • Clubs only meet, no ASB account Level two: • Clubs are mostly self-sufficient in funding, have an ASB account- and do not receive ASB allocations unless requested for need Level three: • Clubs have an ASB account and are able to request ASB funds
Club, Athletics, and Activities Fund Allocation Steps for allocation: 1. Each program submits requests in order of importance (wish list) 2. Evaluated based on current account balance, sources of non- ASB funds, and needs 3. Determine what they need vs. historical distribution 4. Take title IX into consideration for equity 5. Consider overall cost of activity and number of participating students
Participation and ASB Membership Goals Increase number of students who buy ASB cards- make sure students know benefits of having an ASB card Promote events and improve student recognition (PBIS and linked to our school values) • Changes to recognition assemblies • Outreach inside of leadership class • More affinity group inclusion (MLK assembly, Veteran’s day assembly)
Participation and ASB Membership Goals Connect students with clubs and activities that help them feel included in the school • Club fairs (two each school year) sponsored at both lunches • Incoming 9 th grade club/athletics fair at end of year • Consistent communication between ASB and clubs Outreach to the community • Co-sponsored events with Mercer Island High School (e.g. coat drive) • Charitable donations (coat drive, pet food drive, food drive, soup for Simpson)
Wolverine Pride (equity and inclusion goals) Scholarship process: Fee waiver program for eligible students Invest-ed, a private fund in the state of Washington that allocates funding for each public state school, based on their needs Booster club support : Private donations for trips, yearbooks, prom tickets
