Keith Ball Athlete 1979-1983 • 4 year member of the Varsity Wrestling team • First freshman at PVHS to qualify for the state wrestling tournament • Placed in the District tournament-4 years • Placed in the Region II tournament- 4 years Placed in the State Tournament- 3 years • Team Captain for Junior and Senior years • Went undefeated in his Senior year with record of 28-0 in the 155 lb. weight class • Did not allow a single point to be scored against him in the District, Region or State tournament in 1983 • 1 st PVHS wrestler to be offered a 4 yr. scholarship to Division I university • Wrestling Team District Champions in 80, 81 and 82 • Member of NHS in both Junior and Senior year • Wrestled at George Mason University • Placed 2 nd as a freshman and sophomore in the CCC conference tournament at GMU • 2 time captain at George Mason University • Currently a Business Relation Manager at Navy Federal Credit Union • Active in the Knights of Columbus and coaching softball

Chris Graham Athlete 1979-1983 • 3 year member of the Varsity Basketball team • Averaged 18 pts. per game and had a career high of 36 points in a game • Scored 920 points for career at PVHS • Named to the All District teams in 1982 and 1983 • Named to the All Region in 1983 • Was an Honorable Mention All State in 1983 • Named to the Capital Classic Top 100 for Metro Area • Set an LTM Christmas Classic Tournament scoring record Basketball team were the District Champions in 1983 with 22-4 record • Basketball team was a Regional Runner Up in 1983 • Received a full Basketball scholarship to Div. II Glenville State • Named The Washington Post Player of the week • Honored as the NCAA Div. II Player of the week for 2 weeks in 1984 • Volunteers as AAU basketball coach and a nonprofit organization helping with repairing homes for those in need • Currently a business partner in the Landscape/Hardscapes Service Industry

Renee Lettington Athlete 1992-1996 • 3 year starter and letterman on Varsity Basketball • Named to the All District for 3 years • Named to All Region team for 2 years • Selected to All State; 2 nd team in 95 and 1 st team in 96 • Virginia State player of the Year for AA in 1996 • District Basketball Champions in 1995 • Regional Basketball Champions in 1995 • Current PV record holder for most points in a game, season and a career • Holds PV record for most rebounds in a region game – 19 • Has a state record for most points in a region game – 48 • VHSL state scoring average of 28.5 points • MVP in the VHSL All Star Basketball game • Named to the 1996 All Met Girls Basketball team • Selected as a USA Today Honorable Mention • Played basketball for Shepherd University for 1 year • 2 year starter and letterman on Varsity Soccer • Named to the All District Soccer team for 2 years • Named to the All Region Soccer team for 1 year • District Soccer Champions in 1996 • Regional Soccer Champions in 1996 • Track – 1 year letterman

  8. State Championship Milestones Park View High School has won 14 State Team Championships and 40 Individual State Champions since 1976. We have begun a new tradition of recognizing the milestone anniversaries of our previous state champions.

  9. 30 th Anniversary of the 880 Yard Relay Team • 2 nd Girls 880 Yard relay team in PV history to win this event • Team consisted of Jodi Mailander Farrell, Bridget Collier Dagette, Gen Cummings Petrella and Diane Wright Breeden • Scores were 2 nd all year to Handley HS until the State Championship • State Championship time of 1:46.0 • “That kind of teamwork and the wonderful feeling of being part of a larger victory for our team and Park View High has stayed with me all these years .” – Jodi Mailander Farrell • “We all ran our best races of the season and never trailed them (Handley) in the race .” – Diane Wright Breeden • Coached by Joy Bundy

  10. 30 th Anniversary of the 1983 Gymnastics Team • The team lost 2 seniors from the 82 State Champs and returned 5 seniors • Went undefeated in all dual and tri meets • They were District, Region and State Champions • 7 members qualified for the Region meet • Newcomer Michelle Roth placed in 4 events and won the regional all around competition • Michelle and Laura Custer scored enough in state competition to make PV champs • Supported by team parents and PV staff members Mr. Peterson and Ms. Wimer • Mrs. Bibb, PV assistant principal, often attended meets and was considered their good luck charm • Coached by Kathleen Dugger and Judy Miller

  11. 25 th Anniversary of the 1988 Gymnastics Team • Won the District and Region • Won the 10 th consecutive District Gymnastics title with a score of 105 • The 88 team was the strongest overall team that PVHS ever had • Swept through the regular season undefeated • 3 seniors and a talented group of underclassmen • Leah Terrell Costello, Theresa Cummings and Kristi McDonald led the competition at all three levels • Leah, Theresa and Kristi are members of the PVHS Hall of Fame • Team score for the state meet was an astonishing 104.7 points • Coached by Kathleen Dugger and Judy Miller

  12. 25 th Anniversary of the 1988 Football Team • First year that the Patriots played on the field at PVHS • Only Patriot football team to go undefeated with a record of 14-0 • Tony Conway broke the school record of most yards rushing and touchdowns • Chris Dawson tied a state record with 58 yard field goal • 11 players were named to the All District team • 7 players were named to the 1 st team All Region and All State team • Defeated Brookville HS for the crown by a score of 51-7 • “The players were well prepared and played an excellent game. The margin of victory was very convincing.” – Coach Ed Scott • Tony Conway and Andy Bell are inaugural PVHS Hall of Fame members • Coached by Ed Scott

  13. 35 th Anniversary April Hughlett Vinson Track • Track Team Captain – 1978 • PV Track MVP: 1978 • Individual District Champion in 880 yd run & 1 Mile Run • Individual Regional Champion in 880 yd run & 1Mile Run • Individual State Champion in 880 yd run - tied a state record of 2:20.8 in 1978 • Individual State Champion in 1 Mile Run - 1978 • Currently still holds 2 mile PV track record • PVHS Female Athlete of the Year - 1978 • PVHS Most Outstanding Student & 2 nd in the class – 1978 • Loudoun Times Mirror Female Athlete of the Year – 1978 • Attended West Point – graduated top 16% in her class • Member of the PV Hall of Fame Class of 2011 • Currently a US Army Reserve Colonel and licensed Middle School Teacher • Coached by Anne Brooks and Sandy Simpson
