\ What Has Been Done August 2, 2018: Lee County is awarded $700,000 grant funding by the FDEP to combat and \ \ remove algae. \ Three test sites for this proj ect were identified within Cape Coral: \ Near the Clipper Bay condominiums \ \ North of the Cape Coral Bridge \ East of Del Prado Blvd \ As of August 20, 2018 all FDEP grant funds have been exhausted in an effort to clean up Lee County waterways.
