Committee Purpose The purpose of the Advisory Committee on Development Design (ACDD) is to: advise Mayor and Council on matters respecting policies and guidelines affecting the City’s physical environment, as well as applications for development permits.
Committee Composition The ACDD is comprised of nine members that are appointed by Council. These members are selected from the following list of stakeholder representatives. Committee Achievements in 2015 Throughout the year, the ACDD held fifteen meetings, reviewed eight projects, and held four educational sessions.

At each meeting the ACDD reviewed each project, and asked the applicant questions. The ACDD makes suggestions and/or recommendations to the applicant based on stakeholder knowledge.

The ACDD conducted an annual review of all issued Development Permits and Design Review applications. The intent of this review was to identify one or more projects that were deserving of Council recognition (e.g. Project Recognition Certificate(s)).
ACDD has identified one project through this process that they believe make a significant contribution to improved design standards in our community. At the February 22 nd Council Meeting, Council approved the following development to be awarded a Project Recognition Certificate. Therefore, the Committee would like to award the following project with the 2015 Project Recognition Certificate.

Committee 2016 Goals Annually review projects to assess design quality. Continue to meet and update the work plan with reviewed Development Permit and Design Review Applications. The Committee will continue to look for educational opportunities to further knowledge on quality urban design. .
The ACDD continues to fulfill its role in promoting high quality development within the City of Prince George and looks forward to a busy year of development review in 2016.
