  36. Member Spotlight

  37. Cynthia Clark University of California, Office of the President Renewable Energy Manager 37 | 2/18/2020

  38. The University of California The University of California improves the lives of people in California and around the world through world-class educational opportunities, groundbreaking research, top-rated health care and agricultural expertise. 38

  39. TCR Membership UC campuses have been reporting to TCR since at least as far back as 2009 UC’s Sustainability Policy ties directly to TCR methodology for measuring GHG footprint UCOP and all 10 campuses report separately as part of our system-wide membership UC Office of the President has been reporting annual GHG emissions to TCR and undergoing third-party verification since 2013 TM Gold status 2017 Climate Registered 39

  40. UC Carbon Neutrality Mission University of California’s buildings and fleets will become net carbon neutral by 2025 . Vision The University of California is developing scalable solutions to build the low-carbon future our research has proven to be imperative. Policy UC’s Sustainability Policy includes sections on Clean Energy (Energy Efficiency, On-campus Renewable Electricity, Off-campus Clean Electricity, and On-campus Combustion), Green Building and Transportation 40

  41. UC’s Carbon Neutrality Strategies = Smart Growth = Energy efficiency + conservation = On-site renewable energy = Utility-scale clean electricity = Biomethane = Cap and trade compliance offsets = Off-campus carbon reduction actions 41
