A triumph she no doubt holds as dear as receiving an MBE in last year’s New Years Honours List for Services to Rugby. The Darlington Mowden Park Sharks No 10 mixed her rugby playing with her job as a primary school teacher at the Bexhill Academy in Sunderland, before taking on her new full- time contract with England Sevens. She won the 2014 Northern E cho ‘Sports Personality of the Year’ and continues to be a vital cog in the England machine. [2]
