All welcome. • Morning prayer and weekly Examen. • Sacrament of Reconciliation. • Retreat Day 1 August. • Christian Service Learning. Minimum 10 hours. • Outreach and Support (Caritas Australia, Jesuit Mission, Mary Ward International, LifeLink, St Vincent de Paul).

John XXIII College Sport Term 1 Swimming Training; Monday, Wednesday & Friday morning, until 22 March (ACC Carnival).  Cross Country Training; Tuesday & Thursday morning, beginning week 4 until 1 June (ACC Carnival).  Northern Associated School Sport (NAS) – Tuesday afternoon from week 4, Term 1.  Basketball, beach volleyball, cricket, indoor soccer, touch rugby.  Rowing Club - Boys’ season, girls rowing available no regattas.  Term 2 Cross Country Training; Tuesday & Thursday morning, beginning week 4 until 1 June.  Northern Associated School Sport (NAS) – Tuesday afternoon from week 3, Term 2.  AFL, badminton, netball 2 teams, soccer, floorball.  Rowing Club – Girls’ season and All Schools season (boys and girls)  Netball Club  Hockey – Morning training, Champion Schools junior carnivals for boys and girls  Morning Training for Swimming, Cross Country begins at 7am finishes 7.50am. Canteen is open for breakfast.

  25. Year 7-9 Assessment Policy • Purpose: Create a fair and equitable learning environment for all students • Promote engagement with the process of learning • View all assessments as opportunities to learn

  26. • Late submission of assessment tasks will be penalised • Avoid planning appointments for during school time and particularly for assessment times • Unplanned absences from assessment tasks will require a parent confirmation note • Students will complete the assessment within one week of returning to school otherwise a standardised mark will be credited

Year 9 NAPLAN and WACE • National Assessment Program Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) • Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) • Achievement of Band 8 or higher in Year 9 NAPLAN prequalifies a student for the literacy and numeracy requirement of WACE • Online Numeracy and Literacy Assessment (OLNA) is available in Years 10-12
