  5. Student Services Graduation • You must APPLY to graduate in the quarter you plan to complete all requirements. Lin Murdock sends out a quarterly reminder via email. If you’re thinking of graduating in Winter, you should have already applied. If not, look for Lin’s email or contact her. • Quarter that you’re graduating, you’ll do both a final practicum evaluation and a self-assessment of competencies, both in STAR. You must also be enrolled in 2 credits. • Save the Date: SSW Graduation Celebration on Thursday, June 7, 2018, 7-9:30pm. Students need to arrive by 6:00pm.

SPRING REGISTRATION (ONLINE) Highlights: • Use MyUW (myuw.uw.edu) • Tuition and related fees are paid through MyUW and due the 3 rd Friday of the quarter • Registration begins 6:00am on February 9. We’ll be available via FB groups, and email (sswstsrv@uw.edu) if you have questions the morning of. We encourage you to use FB groups, so we can address inquiries quicker. Waitlists will be available on February 26 th at 12:01am • (Sunday night going into Monday morning).

  7. SPRING REGISTRATION (ONLINE) Helpful tips for successful registration: • Check your MyUW to make sure any registration holds are cleared in advanced • Make sure you complete “Insurance/Optional Charges” and update “Change of Address” and select “Submit,” even if you don’t have any changes. You cannot register without completing these steps every quarter. Variable credits (2 nd and 3 rd year student – Soc W 524 and 525; • You need to indicate how many credits you will be taking)

  8. INSURANCE/OPTIONAL CHARGES & CHANGE OF ADDRESS Spring SSW Student Social Work * Must select “Submit” for both “Change of Address” and “Insurance/optional charges” and be in the correct quarter.

  9. SPRING REGISTRATION (ONLINE) Other things to consider: • Subscribing to Seat Notifications: Does not guarantee space but may be helpful for required EDP evening classes for EDP1 & EDP2 year students completing foundation classes. All other classes are managed using the waitlist. • Students may be able to register using MyPlan but we strongly recommend the preferred method using the SLNs and registration table in MyUW (refer to the tutorial link on slide 10). Note: Planning out classes in MyPlan does not mean you are registered. MyPlan tutorial is available here .

SPRING REGISTRATION (ONLINE) Tutorials on Payment and How to Register: • http://socialwork.uw.edu/students/services/edp-registration Additional Qs? • Registration emails with additional info will be sent out soon • EDP drop-in hours on Wednesdays from 5-6pm Virtual drop-ins on Thursday, February 8 th at 8-9pm to answer • registration questions. Email notification with webinar link will be sent out with registration materials and reminder email.

EDP Funding Options • EDP Conference Funds Funding to help EDP students cover the costs of attending a conference that benefits the student and the School community (includes registration and travel expenses) Offered 2-3 times a year depending on number of applications. Applications just closed so the next round should open in Spring Quarter, pending available funds. • Scholarship Resources on SSW Admissions page • GFIS (Graduate Funding Information Service) 1:1 meetings, drop in hours, live and recorded workshops, blog • Revision request to financial aid
