For example: If you are in the Dance Company and the teacher has given the registrar a list of names, and you are on that list, then Dance Company would show up on your schedule.
Cancelled Classes There will be changes to the master schedule throughout the summer. Classes which do not have sufficient interest may be cancelled or combined with another class. Teachers may be replaced by other teachers. This information will be updated on our home page. If one of your classes is cancelled or if you just want to change your schedule you may do that any time the window is open. You will see those dates at the end of the PowerPoint. They were also in the letter that you received.
How do I “SAVE” my schedule when I am done? Your schedule is being saved as you enter it. You will not need to select “ENTER” or “SAVE”. It is automatic. You can still make changes whenever you want as long as the window is open. During the open days May 6-10 and June 3-August 2 the window will be open 24 hours per day. The final window will close Friday, August 9, 2019 at 8:00 AM. Deadline: 8:00 AM Friday, August 9, 2019
FAQs Can Arena scheduling be done through the parent’s login? Yes. In fact parents and students can log in and work on different parts of the student’s schedule simultaneously in order to save time. I do not know my login/password. Call or visit the Attendance office. Ph. 801-256-5810. It’s the same as your current Skyward login & password. I’m in Skyward Arena Scheduling but I don’t see anything for Arena Scheduling? Select “Riverton High School” (in the field to the right of your name). I can’t find “Seminary” when I search by Course Description. Seminary is called “Release Time”.
FAQs How do I sign up for early morning seminary? Contact the seminary to fill out an application. If you are accepted it will not show on your schedule (only periods 1-8) are visible. I do not have enough classes. You must fill in all 8 class periods both semesters. If you don’t, your counselor will fill in the rest of your classes and you will be unable to make any changes. 10 th and 11 th grades must have all four core classes. 12 th needs 2 core classes. What if I have questions about the Tech Center? See Ms. Whitefield, CTE Coordinator. Ph. 801-256-5825 I can’t find a class with my favorite teacher. The teacher you are searching for may not be teaching that subject next year.
FAQs I can’t find a class in Course Descriptions. The course description that you type must match what is on the Master Schedule that is posted on the website. (i.e. you will not find “English” or “Language Arts” because it is listed as “Lang Arts”. I can’t find a class by Subject. Try one of the other subjects. Some subjects can be credited to more than one graduation requirement (i.e., ballroom dance can be credited to either Healthy Lifestyles or Fine Arts.). The “Add” button does not work. Class is full. Choose a different teacher or period. If there is no other option, schedule an alternate course.
FAQs I plan to graduate early during my senior year. Can I schedule classes only in Semester 1, and leave Semester 2 unscheduled? No, you must sign up for a full-year’s worth of classes. If you meet the graduation requirements early and have the proper paperwork in place with your counselor, then your counselor will adjust your schedule at the time you graduate. What if I don’t build my schedule? A schedule will be built for you based on available classes. You will not be able to make any changes to your schedule when schedule change windows open in August and before the 2 nd Semester. “Add/Remove” option is not available. Your Arena Schedule window is not available. If you are attempting to build your schedule a minute or so before the window opens you will need to “ refresh” your screen, click on “Arena Scheduling”.
FAQs I cannot find a course under any course Search. Click on “Next” to see more courses. It is like turning pages in a book. Two (or more) of my classes are only offered the same period. You will have to make a choice. Every effort was made to build the master schedule with as few conflicts as possible. Unfortunately, there will still be conflicts between certain combinations of courses. Can I create a schedule during the Arena window and change it later that day when the window is still open or is it final once it’s submitted? You may make changes any time your Arena window is open. See the Timeline of Events for dates and times. My browser is Google Chrome – I’m having trouble connecting with Skyward. This is a known problem with Google Chrome. Use a different browser.
FAQs When are we finding out what classes we get? You may view your schedule by selecting the “Selected Classes” tab. This is your official schedule - assuming all classes carry. Can I add an audition course to my requests. No. You must pass an audition with the teacher first. The teacher will submit your name. The registrar will add the course to your schedule. Can I sign up for ANY class? You should check which classes you need to fulfill your graduation requirements and sign up for those FIRST. THEN you can sign up for any class that is available to your grade level except for audition classes.
