What is T-STEM? • The T-STEM Initiative provides a foundational approach to empower teachers, inspire students, and advance studies in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. • Updated T-STEM Blueprint-serves as a roadmap for benchmarks, program requirements, and indicators to facilitate individual STEM Academy growth • Schools must implement key elements of the blueprint to earn designation status: • Written mission and vision statement • Master schedule for advising • Schedule that reflects dual credit courses

  3. T-STEM Campus • One of 199 TEA Designated T-STEM Campuses • Enrollment: 325 scholars • TEA Met Standard Campus • Academic Distinctions: ALL 7 Distinctions!!! English/Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Closing Performing Gaps, Academic Growth & Post- Secondary Readiness • STEM components embedded in curriculum • Problem-solving and project-based learning • 3 Pathways- Engineering, Biomedical & Computer Science

What is Happening this Year!! • We have 21 students in our graduating class • Internship program-Mock Interviews have been completed with rave reviews about our students • Lockheed-Martin partnership for the airplane build • 57% of our 7 th graders qualified for the Duke Tip program • Extensive robotics program with multiple competitions • Continue to seek internship/partnerships for Senior Scholars
