Mathematics
Mathematics • Students follow a 3 Year GCSE course from Y9 to Y11 leading to the Pearson Edexcel 9 -1 GCSE in Mathematics. • There is a Foundation course leading to grades 1 to 5 and a Higher course which targets grades 4 – 9. • Progress is assessed regularly - Key Questions throughout each unit using Exit tickets, Unit tests at the end of each unit, End of term cumulative assessments to assess understanding across a range of topics and an End of year exam.
What can you do to help and support your child with Maths? The more maths pupils do, the better they will become – Please encourage them to practise as much as possible.
