Why have we asked you to come? ● An unprecedented crisis in education funding ● Schools are good at hiding it. We are good at it here. ● But we are getting to a point where the cracks are beginning to show ● School income is being cut. Inflation isn’t taken into account. ● Whereas our expenditure keeps rising with inflation...
What are the implications for our school? ● No funding for training, additional resources or supply teaching, which staff cover internally. ● Next year, if nothing changes, we will have to look at further strategies; reduced resources, decreased staffing hours and/or increasing class sizes ● Essential ancillary support services like the Parent Support Advisor have already been cut ● Our school as we know it will start to look different… ● So, what can we do about it?
What can you do about it? ● We would love your support to help campaign for our school’s future. Here’s how: ○ Sign the e-petition set up by parent led forum www.fairerfundingforschools.org Write to our MP, Peter Heaton-Jones, via schoolscuts.org or ○ using our template letter ○ Write to our DCC Councillor Caroline Chugg and the Secretary of State for Education, Justine Greening Share it with all your friends: #schoolsjustwannahavefunds ○ If you are interested we have more suggestions! ○
