  5. Excursions & Events

  6. Day 1: Saturday 14 th July 12:45 hrs Students to meet their group leaders in Oak / Poplar playground with baggage, passports, EHIC and any medicine. I suggest that students have an early lunch / good brunch before departure as students arrive late evening at the hotel. 13:15 hrs Depart school 14:50 hrs Check-in at East Midlands Airport for RYNAIR flight number FR1756. Students will need to bring money to buy a meal at the airport or to buy food to take on the plane to eat as their dinner. 16:50 hrs Flight departs. No meals are served on this flight, but snacks and beverages can be purchased on board the aircraft. 20:20 hrs Anticipated arrival at the airport (Spanish time) for transfer to Expo Hotel Valencia where the group will spend the next 5 nights with half board accommodation. Students will be allocated their rooms and will have free time to unpack and settle in.

  9. Day 4: Tuesday 17 th July Morning: Guided Tour of the Mestalla Stadium Afternoon: Hotel pool or beach Evening: Organised activities and some free time.

  10. Day 5: Wednesday 18 th July Morning: Shopping and optional tapas tasting experience. Afternoon: Hotel pool or beach Evening: Some free time and packing for departure.

  12. Passports • Passport details should already have been provided to Mrs Rushton / Miss Camacho • Passports must be valid for the duration of the trip and handed to group leaders on arrival at TGAS. • If your child has a non-British passport, additional documentation may be required. See Miss Camacho or Mrs Rushton at the end if this applies to your child.

  13. Students should bring one suitcase or holdall to put on the coach and in the hold on the plane. They must be able to carry Luggage Allowance their own bag. Ryanair Hand Luggage One small bag no bigger than 35 cm x 20 cm x 20 cm and Additionally One piece not exceeding 10 kg and no bigger than 55 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm including the handle, pockets and wheels students will need a small day bag to Please note that your 10kg bag will be tagged at the boarding gate and placed in the hold of the aircraft at no additional charge.   14. What to pack!   15. Electronics • Students are able to bring mobile phones and tablets if you wish, however, it will be students' responsibility to look after these. You will need to have relevant personal insurance. • Some sites do not allow mobile phones/photographs. • Students are responsible for any roaming charges that may be incurred. • This is a social trip as well as a language/cultural trip – therefore no phones at meal times/during guided tours. We would also advise that students do not walk around with their phones clearly visible.

  16. Hoodies • All students are receiving hoodies for the Valencia Tour as part of their trip costs. • Students should wear these hoodies during travel to and from Spain so we can easily identify the group. • Students will be notified by their Spanish teacher when the hoodies are ready for collection.

  17. EHIC card and medication • All eligible students need to have a valid EHIC. Your child should already have handed in a photocopy of their EHIC to Mrs. Rushton/Miss Camacho. • EHIC cards can be obtained, free of charge, at http://www.nhs.uk/NHSEngland/Healthcareabroad/EHIC/Pages/about- the-ehic.aspx • Students may carry their own medication at your discretion. If you are taking it as hand luggage with you, please put it in a see through re- sealable plastic bag. If you would prefer their group leader to have their medication/spare medication please hand this in to your child’s group leader on arrival at TGAS on 14 th July. • Medication handed to group leaders needs to be in a see through re- sealable bag with their name and instructions for use clearly identified on the front. • Inhalers and Epi-pens - Please ensure that your son/daughter brings two on the trip. One will be given to their group leader, the other will need to be kept on them at all times.

  18. Student Money and Meals • Students will be responsible for looking after and budgeting for their spending. • Breakfast and evening meals are included in the price of the tour. • Students will be required to purchase snacks, drinks and lunch throughout the trip. Budget for 20 euros for lunch and drinks for each day. • For departure day, have an early lunch before you leave and budget for buying dinner at the airport. • On your final return journey please budget to buy lunch before we leave and to buy dinner at the airport. • The hotel has been advised of all dietary requirements

  19. Behaviour Expectations • Academy expectations apply as normal. • Any issues that arise will be dealt with following the Academy policy and, if necessary, action taken on our return to TGAS. • Respect and cooperate with all requests and requirements made by teachers • Behave at all times in a manner which bring credit to themselves, teachers and the school • Avoid noise and other behaviour which might cause inconvenience to other students and members of the public • Participate fully in all activities and sessions during the visit • Do not leave the accommodation at all unsupervised. • Do not leave the group at any time without requesting permission from your group leader. Always return to a meeting place at the agreed time.
