Details of Berlin • With a population 3.7 million people the largest city in Germany • First documented in the 13th century • From 1417 – 1945 residence or capital of Brandenburg, Kingdom of Prussia, German Empire, Weimar Republic and the Third Reich • After WW II divided in East – and West-Berlin till 1989 • Since 1990 (after reunification) again capital of Germany

Tournament Dates • Tournament times: Mon Tue Wed Thu Fri 16th 17th 18th 19th 20th • Arrival and Departure: Sun Sat 15th 21st • Possible extra days: Sat Sun 14th 22nd • 7 round swiss system (according to the IMCC rules) • Wednesday afternoon: sightseeing • Friday afternoon: Blitz • Friday evening: Closing ceremony and banquet

Accommodation • Single rooms ensuite for officials • Double rooms ensuite for the players • All covered by entry fee from Sun (15th) to Sat (21st) • Extra nights for Sat (14th) and/ or (Sun 22nd) cost extra • Rooms available in the following priority: 1) officials, players and invited guests 2) life time members 3) if enough capacity: spouses and extra players (detail information possible after the informal agreement)

Tasks during the week • Sunday evening „ICEBREAKER“ -dinner with traditional berlin food and some drinks • Breakfast in the morning will be held in the central kitchen • Every lunch and dinner served in the tournament hall • During the rounds we are serving coffee, water and snacks • Wednesday afternoon sightseeing tours • Tuesday and Thursday ladies program and TL-meeting • On Friday Blitz and closing ceremony/ banquet • Every evening, the bar in the tournament hall will be open till 10pm

  9. Payments • Entry fee for officials, players and spouses = 330 € each • Extra night = 15 € each • Formal invitation is sended • Informal agreement necessary till March, 15th 2019 (important, to check space for extra players and spouses) • Formal agreement: July, 1st 2019 Notice • In the bar, only cash is accepted (no credit cards)  • But don‘t worry: In the barracks, there is a cash maschine! ☺
