Opening Scho hools • On Monday, July 13, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced that school districts in New York can follow plans to reopen for in-person schooling in September if COVID-19 infection rates stay at 5% or lower in a given region. • If a region is in Phase 4 and has a daily infection rate of 5% or lower over a 14-day average, schools in that region could hold in-person instruction. If daily infection rates exceed 9% over a seven-day average, however, schools in that region would not reopen. • Plans to submitted this Friday with following: In-person, remote, hybrid

K-5 tw two opti tions: Fu Fully R Remote l learning o or In person on mod odel el • All students attend school every day, Monday through Friday, each week. • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday will be a full day. • Wednesday will be an early dismissal day for students in order to allow time for teachers and support staff members to have the collaborative planning time necessary to support instruction in the social distanced model.
K-5 S 5 Space pace The square footage of each classroom has been used to determine how many students each room can accommodate, providing for the required six feet of social distancing. In order to accommodate all students being in the building a variety of spaces beyond typical classrooms, will be utilized.

K-5 • As student enter class, hand sanitizer protocol • Students and staff will be expected to wear masks throughout day • Multiple mask breaks will occur during the day • Teachers will use strategies to allow for more large group instruction but may also incorporate best practices such as station work • Special area teachers and support services teachers will either push in or when appropriate walk a class to a large room/space, including outside where social distance is easy to maintain • Music and PE remain a question given the 12 feet of distance required • Equitable and safe process for all special area classes • Lunches/Snack time will be socially distanced and held within classroom or other socially distanced rooms – no masks

What would ½ day Wednesdays look like? • Dismissal around 11:45 – TBD • Child Care • Practice for remote – email, use of platform, asynchronous activity, learning independently • Staff – planning – necessary for this model to work
6-12 Two Choices: Fully Remote or Hybrid Group 1 will attend school on Mondays and Thursdays; remote learning will take place on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. Group 2 students will attend school on Tuesdays and Fridays; remote learning will take place on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. A third group of students, to include English Language Learners and special education students in our district based classes*, will attend school Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and participate in remote learning on Wednesday.

Art • Music (chorus/band) and PE – question – 12 feet • Students will receive mask breaks • Lunches in classroom • Change classrooms for world language, support services, special area • Sign out process to use spaces for SEL • Attendance, Assessments, Report Cards • Structured dismissal
What about the days when Hybrid remote? Grades 6-8 • Students will log in for attendance using either Microsoft Teams or ZOOM • Students follow their schedule – this will be a school day • Students will be assigned work for that scheduled period from when they were in-person with the teacher or when they log in

Registration / Enrollment Dear Families, All students will need to be enrolled for a school program by August 10. This registration is mandatory as it is essential for us to have a few weeks to schedule students, assign rooms and teachers to students, complete bus routes, etc… You will be required to select one option per child. If you have children at multiple schools/levels, you will be receiving multiple enrollment forms. Each child will need to be registered separately.
