How to Enrol on your Modules Step by step Research options in the Module Directory - https://www.tcd.ie/students/orientation/visiting-exchange/module-enrolment.php Contact your School Coordinator or attend an orientation meeting and find out about class content, timetable and prerequisite requirements. Make sure you choose modules only from the schools and departments confirmed on your Learning Agreement. Fill in the online Module Directory sheet – which will also be available from the Module Directory site! Once you are enrolled the AR will contact you to confirm the modules you are successfully enrolled in. Note: Check with your Home University or Provider regarding number of ECTS. Module Enrolment Form Filling in your form The online module form will be sent to both your TCD account on the 21 st September. If you are not registered yet we will forward this to your applicant email. It will also be available on the Module Enrolment site here: https://www.tcd.ie/students/orientation/visiting-exchange/module-enrolment.php The form is spilt into three parts: • Personal Information: This is used to identify you and the schools from which you can choose your modules. • Module Choices: Your choices in order of preference. Please be advised you can take a maximum of 30ECTS per semester • Module Changes: The last section is to remove any modules for which you have previously chosen. Important to Note • If you miss the School Module Enrolment meeting or there is no meeting listed on the orientation website: Get in touch with the person listed as the module contact on the Module Directory. • If you have clashing modules: You will be informed in this in our confirmation email after you have submitted your choices. MODULE ENROLMENT - TOP TIPS • Talk to your school first! • Online Enrolment sheet will be mailed directly you and will be available here: http://www.tcd.ie/students/orientation/visiting- exchange/module-enrolment.php • Your offer letter should list the departments to which you have been accepted. • Once you have submitted your choices it may take a day or two to receive your confirmation email. • Changes in enrolment may take place in some circumstances following school review, but you will be informed of this when it arises. MODULE ENROLMENT - TOP TIPS • You can take a minimum of 20 and a maximum of 30 ECTS per term • Some modules are worth 5 ECTS and some are worth 10 ECTS. You’ll take 3 – 6 classes • Most modules available to visiting students are in the second and third years. Not many fourth year level modules are normally available. • Try to be open minded on modules and have a few options in mind in case some clash or are full.
