Parking Study Boundaries
Parking Study Work Plan • Contractor selected for the parking study April 2016 – May 2017 o Data collection and analysis o Analyze existing parking standards o Work with city to engage community o Community workshops o Intercept surveys o On-line surveys o
Data Collection & Analysis • Data collection May – July 2016 • Inventory of current parking spaces • Audit of parking occupancy and turnover rates • Identify additional parking spaces • Document length of stay for cars parked in spaces with time limits • Create reports and maps documenting existing parking spaces and identifying parking issues
Analysis of Existing Parking Standards • Compare off-street parking standards to similar “smart growth” cities • Analyze the adequacy of the current parking-in- lieu fee Determine if the existing fee is adequate o Explore using the fee to fund mobility options o Evaluate expansion of existing program o
Parking Management Plan • Summarize all data collected and analyzed including an overall summary of the study process, findings and recommendations • Identify specific action items to be implemented to improve parking and mobility
