Journey to Excellence (JTE) • Scouting’s Journey to Excellence (JTE) is designed to encourage and reward success of our units, districts, and councils. • Due to circumstances occurring in 2020, the Journey to Excellence recognition program for districts and councils is discontinued. • The Unit level recognition program will continue. • Revised unit criteria is available at:

What we will be doing… � We will have food only donation drop off locations on November 14, for the community to drop food off at � Our Food Bank will also be receiving monetary donations � We will be giving you a PDF flyer for email and content for social media to deliver to the community � We will need your help in spreading the word

Tips for Success � Share this flyer more than once! � Post it on all your social media accounts…more than once! � Ask your COR to put this in their bulletins, social media accounts, websites � Keep a tracker to identify who is doing it � Build a campaign � Record a Scout in uniform giving facts on hunger and how you can donate to help (under 2 min video)

Service Hour Ideas � Scouts can make signs for the neighborhood � Scouts can stand on busy street corners near drop off sites with additional signage � Scouts can go to local businesses that are open and ask to put the flyer in their window � If there is a local organization that is also accepting food in your area, you may use the fillable pdf flyer to guide donors there (please count the food though)
