Fall Activities Expo 2020 z Tulane Equestrian
z What we are! We are a club sport! § No cuts à anyone is welcome to join, and no prior experience § needed! Anyone is welcome to show as well, and we need riders of all § levels for shows. The Equestrian team associated with Tulane University. §
z What we do! We practice 1-2 times per week at Equest Farm in City Park. § We usually attend about 3 weekends of showing a semester. (we § are not able to show Fall 2020 due to COVID- stay tuned for updates about Spring 2021!) We practice for one hour, but make sure to allot a total of 3 hours § for each practice to factor in travel time and getting ready/taking care of the horses. We usually have a variety of social events as well ranging from § dinners, fundraisers and mixers with other teams. However, this will also be restricted this semester due to COVID.
z Costs! There is a $45 club sport fee. § The lesson package is $500 and gets 10 lessons to be used § throughout the semester. The lesson package does expire at the end of the semester. If you choose to show, there is an additional $45 IHSA fee. § Each class is $35, and most people do 1-2 classes per day over § the course of a 2-3 day show weekend. Hotel and travel are covered by Tulane for showing, but food for § the weekend I is paid for out of pocket.
