TITLE TEXT Summer Construction Update • 2010 Bond Projects o Asphalt Repairs & Replacements at CLPMS, Lincoln, PCA, Polaris, and Putnam o Renovation to French Field including: asphalt and concrete reconstruction, fence and waterline replacement, new sidewalks, irrigation relocation, and tennis court parking lot replacement o Planning for turf Installation at Lincoln using CSU turf
TITLE TEXT Summer Construction Update • 2016 Bond Projects Highlights include: o • Furniture & Fixture Purchases and Installations at 18 schools – 55 classrooms of new furniture at Poudre HS – New classroom furniture at CLP ES, Centennial HS, FCHS, Lopez ES, Polaris, Putnam ES, Timnath ES, Webber, MS – New Media Center furniture at Timnath ES, Eyestone ES, O’Dea ES, Johnson ES, Shepardson ES – New office & teacher workstations and renovated front entry plaza at Rocky Mountain HS – Computer Lab renovation at Lincoln MS ADA Improvements at 5 schools • Turf replacement at Fossil Ridge High School •
TITLE TEXT New Construction Updates • Middle School/High School Projects o Design Development drawings are complete • Update on design to be held at September 10 Business Meeting o District Athletic Complex design development is also complete o Timnath Reservoir Inlet Canal project is now out for bid • Anticipated completion: Summer 2020
TITLE TEXT New Construction Updates • Middle School/High School Projects o Annexation • Anticipated completion December 2019 • Deannexation/annexation for Prospect Site in process, anticipated completion summer/fall 2020 o Overlot grading begins: • November 2019 for Wellington MS/HS • Late Spring 2020 for Prospect MS/HS o Construction begins: • Spring 2020 for Wellington MS/HS • Summer 2020 for Prospect MS/HS o Anticipated opening for both Wellington Site and Prospect Site schools: Fall 2022
TITLE TEXT New Construction Updates • Zach Elementary School Addition o Construction is almost complete • 2 new classrooms and expansion to existing classrooms to make Zach a four-track school • Kindergarten addition • Music Room storage o Anticipated completion: September 2019 • Renovated spaces will be opened for use as soon as they are complete • One modular has been relocated to Riffenburgh Elementary School – Two remaining modulars on site will be relocated next summer
TITLE TEXT New Construction Updates • Southeast Elementary School Schematic Design and Design Development are complete o School design should be complete in late 2019 o Project scheduled for bidding in November 2019 o Anticipate bringing a contract to the Board in early 2020 • Construction begins in March 2020 o • 18 month construction schedule Anticipate hiring a principal by February 2020 o Naming Committee slated to begin work in Spring 2020 o • Recommendation to the Board anticipated by May/June 2020 Anticipated school opening: Fall 2021 o
TITLE TEXT New Construction Updates • Transportation Facility o Request for Qualifications (RFQ) has been completed and issued for design of the facility o Facility to be located on JSSC site o Facility could house Transportation Services and Outdoor Services o Anticipated completion: 2022
Ongoing Facilities TITLE TEXT Improvements Update • $40 Million in Ongoing Facilities Improvements o Some examples of the projects planned for the 2019-2020 school year and summer include: • Furniture and fixture upgrades • HVAC work • Asphalt projects (paving, parking lots and playpads) • Fire alarm and smoke detector upgrades • Among many others o Projects administered by Operations will be implemented over a three to four year period
TITLE TEXT Futures Lab • PSD Futures Lab o ~40 students have expressed interest as of the end of July • Interested students come from all 4 comprehensive high schools, 2 alternative high schools, and one special program (Cooper Home) • Enrollment will be open through Labor Day o 5 classes will be offered: MobileMakers iOS App Development, AP Seminar, Drones, Design/Build and Business Incubator • Interest is highest in MobileMakers, AP Seminar and Drones o Continuing to Explore Permanent Facility Options
