Jesus Curses the Fig Tree (Monday) The cleansing of the temple. “Matthew and Luke tell of the cleaning of the temple topically with Jesus’ triumphal entry. But, as Mark shows, it actually occurred on the next day which would be Monday (Mark 11:11-12). The cleansing of the temple was an application of Messianic authority. It took place once at the beginning of Jesus’ public ministry and now, again, at the close of His ministry.” - Sir, we would see Jesus Bob Waldron (pg. 133 )
