ABOUT ENSA • ENSA - European Plant-based Foods Association • Established in 2003, as the European Natural Soyfoods Manufacturers Association • Membership is open to manufacturers located in Europe, producing plant-based alternatives to dairy and meat products, from soy and other non-animal products • ENSA ethical charter requests that soy drinks are made from whole soybeans and that all soy products are made from GM-free soy. • ENSA is registered in the EU Transparency Register (ID: 689045810852-79)

  7. THE PLANT-BASED DIETS MOMENTUM “In part, Climate Change is driven by what we eat: 14.5% of greenhouse gas emissions result from livestock, especially cattle raised for both meat and milk. If cattle were a country, it would rank third in emissions behind the United States and China.”

A CHALLENGING REGULATORY ENVIRONMENT The Agriculture Committee of the European Parliament is proposing to restrict the use of certain sales denominations in the current revision of the Common Market Organisation Regulation, part of the EU’s Common Agricultual Policy.
