College and Scholarship Application Process at HCHS Complete the Senior Information Sheet by September 1. 1, 2017: ■ Senior Information Sheet— provides background for letters of recommendation, college, and scholarship applications. *This MUST be completed for your counselor to write a letter of recommendation! ■ Login to Student Access, go to ‘online forms’, and continue to the Student Information Sheet to input your information.

Complete the student sections of the 3. college/scholarship applications Common Application and SENDedu are a 4. different process which is completed electronically. *You MUST complete a 10 Day Counselor Request Form in the SSS Office!
Parchment: e-Transcripts! ■ Register online and order transcripts for colleges and universities, athletic organizations, scholarship funds, future employers or other organizations requiring verification of your transcripts. ■ Log onto www.parchment.com and register!
College and Scholarship Application Process at HCHS 5. When you need paper transcripts and test scores, complete a Current Student Records Request Form (available online at www.hononegah.org or in the SSS Office). Submit this request EACH TIME you need your transcript and test scores sent. After one (1) week , you may pick up your documents. The official ■ transcript comes in a sealed envelope. Keep it sealed to keep it official. The first five (5) transcripts are at no cost. Each additional transcript ■ is $3.00 and payable upon request.

Complete a 10 Day Counselor Request Form when you need: The school section completed on your application ■ Your counselor’s signature ■ A letter or recommendation from your counselor ■ Forms are available online at www.hononegah.org or in the SSS Office. * *A paper form MUST be submitted, even if an on-line request is sent. Two (2) weeks after your written request is submitted to the ■ SSS Office, you may pick up your documents.
College and Scholarship Application Process at HCHS 7. Pick up your documents in the SSS office since they will NOT be mailed for you --counselor’s signature, completed applications, and letter of recommendations: 10 school days --transcript and test score requests: 5 school days
Do you know how many credits are required in order for you to graduate ? 46! *You will NOT walk at the graduation ceremony if you do not have 46 credits!!! You must also have met ALL graduation requirements!!!
MINIMUM College Admission Requirements ■ 4 years - English (literature, written and oral communications) ■ 3 years - Social Studies (U.S. History and Government) ■ 3 years - Mathematics (Algebra I, Geometry and Algebra II) ■ 3 years - Science (Laboratory Sciences) ■ 2 years - Foreign Languages or Fine Arts (2 years of same language or same subject , Career and Technical Education may be accepted by some schools)
COLLEGE ADMISSION CRITERIA There are eight criteria that are consistently used by colleges for admission purposes. These criteria include: Strength of High School academic Program 1. Rock Valley College Application Process: Complete an application, submit your transcript 1. and ACT scores. Take the Accuplacer Test (if required) 2. Attend a Getting Started Session 3. Once this process is completed, you are able to ■ register for RVC classes at any time in the future.
