Search Organization and Planning Work closely with the Board of Trustees to outline an overall process. Keep constituents informed of progress. Work closely with and consistently communicate with the Search Committee and the Board of Trustees on all phases of the search process. 4

Superintendent-President Search Timeline-Draft October 21, 2016 ACCT visits Long Beach City College to facilitate a series of public forums. Information gathered during the public forums will be used to prepare the draft Superintendent-President profile. Week of December 5, 2016 Search Committee Meeting #1 – orientation and training on roles and responsibilities. Board reviews, revises, and approves Superintendent-President profile. January 18, 2017 Target Date for Applications 10
Superintendent-President Search Timeline-Draft February 2017 Search Committee Meeting #2: Committee selects semifinalists for confidential interviews. Search Committee Meeting #3: Committee holds confidential interviews with semifinalists; after the final interview the Committee will deliberate and recommend 3 - 5 finalists to the Board for further consideration. Final candidates visit Long Beach City College. Board interviews final candidates and candidates participate in College-wide open forums. Early March 2017 Board visits #1 candidate’s institution (optional). March 2017 Board selects and announces next Superintendent-President of Long Beach City College. 11
