Project Goals 1. Road reconstruction – Stadium Boulevard from Hutchins to Kipke – Potter and Prescott, as a result of utility work 2. Underground utility improvements – Water mains (clean drinking water) – Stormwater management 3. Non-motorized amenities under consideration – Bike lanes in the roadway – Mid-block crossings – Sidewalk installation on south side of E. Stadium Stadium Boulevard Reconstruction Project 3

Goal 1: Road Reconstruction ! Rationale: - Improve the quality of the road surface from Hutchins to Kipke - Bring this remaining stretch of Stadium Boulevard up to current standards ! Activities: - Total road reconstruction, including sub-base - Adjust lane alignment and fine tune curb lines ! Goal 2: Underground Utility Work ! Rationale: – Improve quality, reduce the rate of release of stormwater in the area – Address capacity needs and poor condition of water mains (raw water, drinking water) ! Activities: – Provide underground storage for stormwater – Replace, up-size, and re-route water mains* ! Activities: – Provide for visible, accessible mid-block crossings at logical intervals – Accommodate bike lanes within roadway – Studying the elimination of existing sidewalk gap on south side of Stadium Boulevard, near the UM football stadium !
