Project Background • This project is the second of two phases of sewer repair in the area. • Phase 1 construction was completed in July 2020. • Phase 2 is currently in design with construction anticipated to begin in summer of 2021. Project Facts • Over 7,000 feet of public sewer pipes will be repaired or replaced in the South Portland- Burlingame area. • Three different construction methods will be used: • Open cut • Pipe Bursting • Pipe Lining (CIPP) • Night work/extended hours proposed in six locations. Night Work Proposed • Some repairs will likely require night work or extended hours to complete. • Environmental Services will apply for a noise variance to enable the contractor to work both days and nights in certain locations. Night Work Locations 1. SW Bancroft Street between SW Macadam Avenue and SW Moody Avenue. 2. SW Macadam Avenue between SW Bancroft Street and SW Hamilton Court. 3. SW Sweeney Street between SW Kelly and SW Macadam avenues. 4. SW Vermont Street near the intersection with SW Corbett Avenue. 5. SW Macadam Avenue just south of SW Miles Street. 6.
