Consultation Pr Process ess Officers from GLA, LBC and TfL reviewed all comments made • during the public consultation; Comments that would have led to a change of scope, or a • departure from the agreed objectives, were discounted as part of this project (and passed on to relevant departments as appropriate); The rest was used to review and amend if necessary the • proposals; Responses to all comments received were circulated 4 th Sep (and • again on 1 st Oct 2013).

This • would mean redirecting and restricting through traffic to Croydon and other areas.” Out of scope > “We do not believe that the elimination of bus stops from South End is viable.” • Retain bus stops > “The Council should impose a commitment on businesses whose shop fronts are • being improved to on-going maintenance of their properties to prevent future deterioration and reversion to their present run down state.” The agreements reached with the property owners and businesses for building > frontage improvement will include a requirement to retain and maintain the works for a minimum of 5 years (confirms approach undertaken by the council)

4. Budget update • Overall budget September 2012 (GLA, TfL and Croydon Council’s funding): – £2.8m – Public realm works: 82.2% – Building fronts: 17.8% • Overall budget today – £3.1m (construction budget 2.5£) – Public realm works: 81.9% – Building fronts: 18.1%

6. AOB Retail Support • South End Activation project: – 3 units to be activated by April 2014 • South End free 30min parking – Spices’ Yard; since November – On street (South End and Selsdon road): from January • South End capacity building (business support to local businesses)
