Silsbee ISD’s first ECHS class is identified as Cohort 2020. The data below was collected for the 2016-2017 year and reflects work completed through August. In addition, freshmen students are to successfully complete the STAAR End Of Course assessments for English 1, Biology and Algebra 1. Freshman college courses are Speech 1315: Public Speaking and Speech 1318: Interpersonal Communications . In addition, students complete a week long Summer Bridge Program co-presented by SHS and LiT. ST STUDEN ENT INVOLV LVEM EMEN ENT Extra-Curricular Activities: 33 ECHS students participated in various activities including, but not limited to, sports, cheerleading, band, FCCLA, FFA and drama. Community Service: This area is in the process of being developed. College Culture: College visits to Lamar University, Lamar Institute to Technology, McNeese University PR PROGRAM EV EVALU LUATION Silsbee’s ECHS program will be considered successful based upon the percentage of students who graduate high school and are core complete, have 60 credit hours or a bachelor’s degree.
