  3. Purpose Motivation - Opportunity to work together planning and financing the trip helps students identify and work toward an additional common goal. Education - The travel experience itself is educational. Performance Opportunity - This performance occurs in a venue unlike any other. Recruitment - Many potential members and their parents look forward to this opportunity.

Departure: Day 1 Friday, March 20, 2020: DEPARTURE - 11:30 am : Two motor coaches arrive for loading at SHS - 12:00pm: Depart to Orlando, Florida - via first class, restroom/DVD/WiFi equipped, climate controlled BARONS BUS Motorcoaches with seat belts and reclining seats. Rest and meal stops en route at the band director’s discretion.

Day 2 Saturday, March 21, 2020: Arrive in Florida! / EPCOT - Arrive at Golden Corral, Orlando, FL for BREAKFAST - After breakfast, depart to EPCOT. $20.00 DISNEY YOUTH DINING CARD provided The Disney Dining Card may only be used to purchase food and beverages - Evening: - Enjoy IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth a spectacular extravaganza over World Showcase Lagoon, bursting with lights, lasers, fireworks and magnificent music. - Depart to the SPRINGHILL SUITES for check in 11:00 pm-7:00 am: HOTEL SECURITY (two, private security guards)

Fundraising - This trip will be entirely funded by marching band students/families and the Streetsboro Band Boosters . - This trip is optional trip for all marching band students. - Any marching band student that wishes to go we plan to help go! - The Streetsboro Band Boosters are prepared to help defray cost for our marching band students! There will be NO school monies used for this trip.

  21. Trip Eligibility This trip is a PRIVILEGE , NOT a RIGHT.

Trip Eligibility - Student Attendance - School Attendance, Band Camp, Rehearsals, Performances, Fundraisers! - Behavior - Student behavior will be monitored over the next 12 months. - Students that receive serious discipline ISR’s or OSS’s will be at risk of not traveling. - Academic - Must remain in good academic standing.

  23. Staff & Chaperones - We plan to have 4 staff members attend the trip. - Directors - Band Staff Members - Nurse (District or Practicing Parent) - In addition to our staff, we plan to have 8 - 10 adult chaperones travel with the group.

Chaperones - All chaperones will have to pay for their own trip. - Chaperone Applications: - Any parent interested in traveling and serving as a parent chaperone will complete a chaperone application. - These chaperone applications will be communicated once we have a better idea of trip cost. - Chaperones will be selected by the directors.
