Parades • Los Gatos Children’s Christmas/Holiday Parade • First Saturday in December
Field Show Competitions • 5 Competitions per year • Held Saturday evenings Oct/Nov
What’s Included • Competition Uniform • Travel Uniform / Duffle bag • Some (larger) instruments • World Class Staff / Instruction • Transportation • Food (at competitions) • Lodging (trips)
Marching Band Clinics/Auditions/Rehearsal • Band Camp / Registration • Spring Clinics (5-8pm) Percussion: 5/7, 5/14, 5/21 Leadership: 7/19, 8/1 Guard: 5/9, 5/16, 5/23 New Members: 7/19, 8/1 Front Ensemble: 7/9-7/12 • Summer Training (Wed 10am-6pm) All Members: 7/20 - 7/22, 8/2 - 8/4 Athletic Training Showcase: 8/5 Fundamentals 6/13, 6/20, 6/27, 7/5 (Thurs), 7/11, 7/25 • Weekday evening practice (M/W 4:30-8) • Minimum of 3 sessions required Starting 8/6 • Sectionals (Fri 5-7) • Super Saturdays (10am – 6pm) Until football games start Starting 8/11

Costs • Last year’s cost was $1400 + fundraising per student • Actual cost is ~$1400; made up by fundraising • Expecting to ask $1250/student this year • Collected in 3 payments during August, September, October • Fundraising: Rummage Sale, Mattress Sale, General PAPA fundraisers • Company Matching (financial and/or volunteer hours) • Corporate Sponsorship • No financial support from school / district • No one left out, let us know if you need assistance

How Parents Can Support Students Help out in one or more ways: Super Saturday Support (drinks/snacks/minor first aid) Operations (moving equipment, building props, fixing things…) Uniforms (sizing and making sure students look great) Food (keeping students fed on long competition days) Communications (Newsletters, Website, Photography, Social Media) Fundraising (help organize various events, sponsorships) Color guard (help with uniforms, equipment specific to guard)

Look for information for required forms • Medical / Behavior / Attendance 5. Bring forms to 1 st summer activity 6. Look out for requests for Volunteers throughout the season 7.
