What is the SSDS? New for the 17-18 school year ● Replaced the EVVRS and HIB-IT Reports ● ● Revisions to the Incident Reporting System Some fields have been removed (burglary & fireworks) ○ Some fields have been combined (bomb threat, fake ○ bomb, fire alarm offense are now one offense: False Public Alarm Some field have been separated (Substance Use is now ○ two separate incident types: Substance Use Confirmed and Substance Suspected, Refused Exam) ○ Additional Revisions: HIB Incident and now described as HIB Alleged or HIB confirmed, All removals must be reported (not just removals for Sp.Ed.) New Incident Fields: Bias Intimidation (confirmed by ○ law enforcement), Computer Trespass, Other Incident Leading to Removal

Security Drills ● Security Drills ○ Evacuation Drill ○ Bus Evacuation Drill on September 14th. ○ Monthly Fire Drill and Emergency Drills ■ Shelter in Place, Lockdown, Medical Emergency ○ Regional and School Security meet individually with staff throughout the month of September and discuss our Emergency Response Protocol and train them in any new procedures
In Closing We will continue to: ● Bring the administration, staff, School Safety/Climate Team and District ABS together to review data. ● Use this data to plan programs and inform practices, approaches, and curriculum. ● Inform students on the dangers of vaping ● Partner with WLB Police Dept. and community resources ● Inform all stakeholders
