Terminal 1 Baggage Handling System Project Manager: Greg McCarthy Description: Project will include installation of a new state of the art Baggage Handling System utilizing newest technology Consolidate 6 baggage handling systems and security functions into 1 common system. Allow for improved baggage processing by delivering departing bags close to aircraft. Reduce the airports carbon footprint with more efficient mechanical systems and a reduced need for vehicles. $60M federal grant has already been designated by the TSA for this project.
