The purpose of SEPs is to focus our change efforts in the most producDve ways. We also need to be able to evaluate what did – and did not – work. If achievable, but not relevant or realis/c, why are you doing it? Focus on outcomes, not the means of achieving them. You will know your objec/ve is specific enough if: You need to know: • Everyone who's involved knows that it includes them specifically. Why you are doing it? • • Everyone involved can understand it. Will it make the difference you are looking for? • • Your objecDve is free from jargon. Does it deliver wider priori/es? • • You've defined all your terms. You've used only appropriate language. • The main reason something is achievable, but not relevant is related to ( someone’s ) priority.
