  3. eInvoicing - European Directive 2014/55/EU Key points to note • Member States are obliged to: “… receive and process electronic invoices which comply with the European standard ” • ALL public bodies • Applies to invoices relating to ‘ contracts ’ above EU thresholds • Exemption: Contracts declared secret/accompanied by special security measures • No requirement for Suppliers to submit eInvoices at this time • Compliance by April 2019 (2020 for sub-central contracting authorities & entities)
