Adoption of Measures to Minimise, Reuse And Recycle Waste We now only appoint waste management contractors that: -Have a third party certified health & safety management system. -Can produce reports on recycling content from skips. -Is working towards reducing the amount of waste going to landfill (target figure is 98% ). -Has a Waste Management License and a Waste Carrier License. We have created them for: Abnormal & emergency situations Energy use External impacts Waste & recycling Waste water An Aspects Evaluation Register is used to prioritise areas for improvement .

  9. Engagement with Industry Wide Initiative Engage with IMS International. Joined CEF to avail of industry updates and quarterly environmental updates to legislation from Carson McDowell Solicitors.

  10. Use of Recycled Building Products and Renewable Energy Recycling encouraged where possible. Development of 98 dwellings at York Road, Belfast: An existing old raft foundation was also discovered during site excavation which was re-used as fill. Recycling this material helped minimise the environment impact of the construction work.

  11. Use of Measures to Minimise Energy Use Removal of most desktop printers and investment in main printer with scanner and print facility. Scanning and email encouraged from management to reduce environmental impact. Eco-Maps used to prioritise reduction in energy usage.

  12. Measures To Demonstrate the Mitigation of Climate Change Car sharing now taking place. Fuel efficient and environmentally friendly company vehicles prioritised.

  13. Wider Environment Corporate social responsibility viewed as important by company in maintaining the social environment. £9,000 raised so far in 2014 for Stroke Association.
