And, in Class C Exhibition performance—and your host choir for today’s event, presented by Ada High School director of vocal music, Mr. David Wilson; from Ada, Ohio, the outstanding individual performer award for the Ada “Varsity Singers” goes to Erica Kier. People’s Choice Award All day long, we’ve been asking you who you thought should win this year. You voiced your opinion by participating in The People’s Choice Award and we now have those results. This award, which was based on the school having the highest amount of money collected in their jar, wins this nice trophy. All proceeds from the People’s Choice Award are again going to The Ronald R. McVicker Scholarship Fund here at Ada High School in the name of the winning school and the Ada Varsity Singers. Mr. McVicker was band director here at the Ada Schools. He retired in 2003 after 31 years of teaching instrumental music. With his untimely death, the music world lost a great man, for he truly blessed us 3

  4. with his humor and love of music. Here with us today, we have his daughter, Anna (McVicker) Poling, and Ron’s grandchildren, Ella and Jake Poling, who will help us present this trophy, which her family sponsors, to the winner of the People’s Choice Award.
