Aca Academic C demic Coac oaching Pr hing Prog ogram am (ACP) (A CP) The Academic Coaching Program (ACP) is designed to assist incoming freshman who have been admitted to Southeast Missouri State University with: • A high school GPA of 2.5 or below • An ACT composite score below 21
Requir equirements of ements of A ACP CP The requirements of ACP: • Enroll and complete up to 12 credit hours with a 2.0 GPA or higher • Complete group meetings with the ACP cohort • Complete a midterm grade check • Remain in good academic standing with the University’s Code of Student Conduct
Completion of Completion of A ACP CP If the ACP requirements are not completed at the end of the semester, the student’s enrollment status will not be updated and they will have a 12 credit hour restriction in the spring.
Purpose of ACP • Discuss expectations in the classroom • Assist in identifying internal and external factors that may prevent academic success • Assist in mapping out a plan for academic success • Connect the student with campus resources to promote academic and social involvement
Southeast SupportNET • Management system that will allow you to view your ACP progress via your ACP Success Plan • Identifies key players in your educational success – Academic Advisors – Professors – ACP Advisors • Allows you to request assistance and be connected to a department in a timely fashion
ACP Moodle Page • Centralized hub for ACP information • Includes information to supplement topics discussed in group seminars • Includes the semester outline that lists all semester ACP meetings and due dates • Midterm grade submission completed via Moodle
