The V-RMTC Model Highlights: - 30 NAVIES - about 100k tracks for week - TRANS-REGIONAL MARITIME NET (TRMN): WMC federated with BRASIL, SINGAPORE, ARGENTINA - Many new potential Partners (S.AFR, AUS, etc) Sharing of information enabling international cooperation The validity of the model is proved by the fact that: New Navies are continuously joining the V-RMTC; Data exchange is constantly increasing since 2004; Development of technical capabilities and requirements for MSA. 8th April, 2013 6

Conclusions New commitment for Navies new Capabilities for the Italian Navy; Interagency information-sharing is a key factor to enhance effectiveness in Maritime Security and Surveillance.
