  3. • Base Bid work includes construction of a new multi-user Men’s and Women’s public restroom inside Pier 45, minor renovations of existing single user restroom door and reconstruction of an infill wall within an existing roll up door. The work will include selective demolition, structural framing, installation of plumbing fixtures, connection to existing sanitary sewer lines and water lines, electrical infrastructure upgrades, demolition of electrical components, installation of new panels and fixtures, installation of mechanical fans, ducts and vents, and installation of toilet accessories, compartments, finishes, and signage. The area of work inside Pier 45 is over land. • Alternate Bid work includes construction of a pre-engineered single user composting toilet in Islais Creek Park. The work will include selective site clearing, earth moving, excavation and protection, and asphalt concrete paving.

  4. • The area of work inside Pier 45 is used for public parking which remain operational during construction. • There are no known hazardous materials in the areas of demolition. Contractor shall perform work in conformance with CAL/OSHA. Contractor shall use best practices to control and contain fungal growth in areas where demolition occurs. • Work areas shall be secured by the contractor. • Soils in the Islais Creek Park will need to be tested prior to disposal.
