/ 1/ Inc Inclus lusiv ive e go governance • The platforms must be organisations or collectives democratically run by their users. • They determine the nature of their stakeholders (users, workers, owners, public authorities…) as well as their respective status and roles concerning the governance. • They seek inclusive practices as regards their stakeholders, especially for their users and employees. • They seek as much as possible to implement horizontal, collective and transparent decision-making processes.
/ 2/ Fa Fair dis distr tributio ibution n of value lue • Platforms may be for-profit, non-profit or limited-profit organisations but they necessarily ensure the fair distribution of the value between all of their contributors. • A part of the generated value is used to sustain the commons of the platform. • The users and contributors of the platform are entitled to take part in the platform’s capital. • Platforms commit to protecting their users and ensuring a fair remuneration of their contributors.
/ 3/ Da Data et ethics • Platforms are transparent on the use of personal data. They explicitly seek the free and informed consent of their users and warn them about the goals of its usage. • Platforms are transparent regarding the use of personal data in their (dynamic) pricing model • Users’ collective data is secured. Its storage conditions and location are mentioned to them. • Platforms display the conditions in which they collect, rate, share and transfer personal data. • Platforms ensure the easy understanding by their users of all contracts and terms & conditions. They abstain from unilaterally amending contracts and clearly inform their users on such issues.
/ 4/ Common Commons prod oduction on • The platforms build commons at the service of their stakeholders (users, employees…) • They also share some of their resources with the whole community. • The commons and collective creations realized on the platforms are placed under open or reciprocity licenses.
/ 5/ Coop Cooperation on be betw tween een me memb mbers • The platforms share best practices and tools in order to strengthen their mutual development and enable the emergence of new projects. • The platforms co-create a « commons of commons » by sharing with the others some features of their activities (legal status, software, informations on their business model…), with different degrees of openness, transparency and sharing, in order to expand these resources to the whole community
