Project oject Pur urpose: pose: What at ar are We D Doing an and Wh Why! • Intent is to Modernize the Ordinance into a Functional Drainage Ordinance with Internal and External Stakeholder Support that: Reflects the desired County balance between the promulgation of practical, modern-day drainage regulations that are also complimentary to County economic development initiatives; Maintain or reduce flood insurance costs for County residents; Enhance County property values; Reduce County mitigation costs; and, Yield greater continuity and consistency in the administration of the Drainage Ordinance in the County’s development review process. Creating a simplified ordinance that is easier to understand, administer, and enforce.
