  9. When will revalidation start? The NMC have now confirmed that revalidation will commence in April 2016. Nurses and midwives need to familiarise themselves with the revalidation requirements and start to develop their portfolio. The first nurses and midwives to revalidate will be those with a renewal date in April 2016. This gives a short time frame to prepare and familiarise themselves with the requirement.
