Colleges prefer 4 yrs of English (Composition and o Literature), Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. Inquire about weighted honors and AP courses. o Consider Blended and Online Learning Courses o • Keep a daily focus on academics

Tuesday, February 21, is College Planning Night from 6:30-8:30 p.m We will begin with a brief introduction from Naperville Central counselors from 6:30-6:50pm in the Auditorium. Then every family will have the opportunity to attend three 25 minute breakout sessions of your choice. Conquering College Costs Seminar March 22 nd @ NCHS Auditorium from 7:00-8:30PM and learn every possible way to reduce college sticker price Frank Palmasani has delivered seminars to parent audiences on this topic for the last 32 years. Along with dozens of presentations to counselor associations, he is often quoted in news articles or on radio shows when college costs are discussed. His presentation will focus on paying for college without excessive debt and is important for parents of all grade levels. Event is sponsored by NCHS counselors
Spring Testing April 5 th – Sophomores will take the PSAT 10 This is a Practice SAT test It will be graded by the testing company (Collegeboard) Counselors/Case managers will apply for accommodations for students with 5o4 plans or IEP’s April 6 th – Sophomores will take a Practice ACT This is a “retired” ACT test this is owned by the district It will be scored by our district We will not be providing testing accommodations
