  2. 3D Pathway 2 Fibers and Fashion Une Belle Revolution is the ONLY fully implemented fashion program in a public high school in the country. Our fashion students learn all aspects of fashion history, design, patterning and construction, and sewing. The Pathway culminates in the development of a full line of custom couture.

  3. 2D Drawing, Painting, and Photography Pathway The visual art pathway allows a student to explore their imagination with a wide variety of art making, art history, and exhibition experiences. Grady has one of the only traditional photo darkrooms available. Our students create their portfolios in one of the most notoriously excellent programs in the state.

  4. 4 Acting & Directing Pathway Do you want to be an actor or director for stage or film? This is your path. Beginning in 9th grade, you’ll learn the basics of acting and technical theatre. From there, you’ll specialize in acting and directing for film and theatre and then eventually either direct a play or make short films. Or both. 9th grade class: “Theatre Arts I - Fundamentals”

Band Pathways Music and rhythm find their way into the secret places of the soul.(Plato) C oncert Band Concentration : The Band pathway we travel abroad through music and it’s many faces , exploring historical to help create new style to tell and rewrite your story. We offer 3 levels of training for the students, beginners, intermediate advanced levels for our musicians. Our students perform in All-State Concert, Jazz bands, UGA Janfest, Honors band, Governor's Honors. Music is your own experience, your own thoughts, your wisdom. If you don’t live it, it won’t come out of your horn. (Charlie Parker) Jazz Knights Concentration: At the heart of any jazz program are music theory courses that break down this musical genre into its technical parts and look at how jazz music moves between keys, chords, and modes. You’ll also study the history of jazz and its influence on other American musical traditions, such as the blues.

Business MAnagement & administration Pathway Students gain knowledge of business principles, the impact of financial decisions, and technology proficiencies demanded by business combine to establish the elements of this course. Emphasis is placed on developing proficient fundamental computer skills required for all career pathways. Students will learn essentials for working in a business environment, managing a business, and owning a business. Students will get an overview of business law while concentrating on the legal aspects of business ownership and management. Legal issues addressed include court procedures, contracts, torts, consumer law, employment law, environmental law, international law, ethics, and the role of the government in business. Students develop an understanding of entrepreneurship and focus on recognizing a business opportunity, starting a business, operating and maintaining a business. Students will be exposed to the development of critical thinking, problem solving, and innovation in this course as they will either be the business owner or individuals working in a competitive job market in the future.

  8. Digital Design Pathway Students enrolled in this pathway will learn digital media applications using elements of text, graphics, animation, sound, video and digital imaging for various format. Emphasis will be placed on effective use of tools for interactive multimedia production including storyboarding, visual development, project management, digital citizenship, and web processes. 9th Grade Class: Introduction to Digital Technology

  9. Engineering Pathway Foundation of Engineering consists if base engineering concepts. Students in this class will get basic experience in programs such as Autodesk Inventor using solidprofessor and whitebox learning. Engineering Concepts build upon previous student previous knowledge. Giving them the opportunity to apply their skills in digital design to the concepts in engineering. Engineering Applications, is the third and final course in this pathway. Students get unique opportunities to combine their knowledge of engineering with creative concepts. This class allows students to apply everything they have learned to the world of engineering. “Engineering or technology is all about using the power of science to make life better for people, to Reduce cost, to improve comfort, to improve productivity.” - Narayana Murthy

Fashion Marketing Pathway T his pathway introduces students to the fashion industry including the fundamentals of fashion marketing, types of businesses involved in the industry, and the array of career opportunities available in fashion marketing. Students will develop skills in such areas as fashion economics, marketing segmentation and target marketing, product selection and buying, and inventory systems. Advanced Fashion Marketing focuses on the application of knowledge and the performance of key skills required in a retail environment. Students develop skills in pricing, visual merchandising, advertising, special promotions, professional sales, and customer service. They will be able to explain the fashion cycle and the use of fashion forecasting as well as learn to understand the concept of economics and the laws regulating the fashion industry.

Delivering Sharing with boxes of apparel Graphic Communications others through SkillsUSA Pathway Students in this course master the fundamentals of the graphic communications industry including graphic design, traditional and modern printing processes, and the functions of a production lab. Students will apply the principles to the development and execution of printed products, specializing in digital output and screen printing. Preparing designs for production Graphic Communications is defined as the processes and industries that create, develop, produce, and disseminate products utilizing or incorporating words or images to convey information, ideas, and feelings. Screen printing rocks!

  13. Guitar Pathway Guitar pathway focuses on basic musicianship skills in small ensemble setting. Students must take three semesters to complete pathway

  14. JROTC Pathway APS JROTC's Mission: Motivating young people to be college and career ready (better) citizens. APS JROTC’s Vision for Hope: Cadet-led program setting students on a glide-path to success ( life skills) through leadership, self-discipline, rigor, accountability, teachable moments, and service(experience and exposure) – allowing them to thrive as college or career ready citizens (opportunity).

  15. Latin Pathway Courses offered: Latin I, II, III, IV, AP Latin Latin is NOT a dead language. It’s a “said” language, a “read” language, a “get inside your head” language, It’s a “well - bred” language, a “get ahead” language, a “widespread” language, a “help you get into med - school” language. But Latin is NOT a dead language. Requirement: 3 or more years of Latin

  16. Multimedia and Print Grady’s newspaper, the Southerner, and magazine, Nexus, are nationally-recognized. The Southerner is consistently the top- ranked high school newspaper in Georgia. In this pathway, students write and design with creative and investigative minds by their sides. This pathway encourages individual thinking and quality in reporting, writing, photography and presentation in print, online and multimedia (video and audio). 9th grade class: Journalism 1

  17. Musical Theatre Pathway Do you want to sing, dance and act in musicals? This is your path. Start with the basics of acting and music with a class taught by teachers of both. From there, you’ll take voice classes while learning how to perform songs from many styles of musical theatre. When you’re ready, perform in a musical that will showcase your talent for everyone to see. 9th grade class: “Musical Theatre I”

  18. Orchestra Pathway The Orchestra Pathway is designed to develop the musicianship skills of string musicians using repertoire from various time periods and genres. 3 different levels of orchestra are offered to accommodate complete beginners to advanced level musicians. 3 years of orchestra is required to complete the pathway.
