  1. 14 – 19 Diplomas Overview � There will be 14 specialised Diplomas, at levels 1,2 and 3, covering the occupational sectors of the economy. � The design is employer-led, but will not be a direct preparation for an occupation. � Young people will develop the broader skills and subject knowledge that employers want. � The first five Diplomas will be available in 2008, the next five in 2009 and the final four in 2010. � Following a 3 year programme of evaluation, national entitlement will be introduced in 2013.
